at least in this case, Russia's interest in for the Syrian people

Since the two factions they are fighting against is Al-Qaeda and ISIS, I am all up for Russia's intervention

After this attack on the nation of syria, russia is sending back its troops, which I believe is a good thing

Current progress of the war. ISIS had been pushed back from all sides, rebels (not the terrorist factions, I am talking about probably about 20% of the rebels) are agreeing to Astana talks after the Geneva one fell through.

Battle for Mosul is nearly complete. When the city is firmly in the PMU and Iraqi hands, they are going to send troop and logistical support to Assad to help against the Daesh and Jabhat al-Nusra
