RE: cooking thread - K-Man - 04-23-2017 thanks for stopping by man, the potatoes were good RE: cooking thread - csp - 04-25-2017 i like to cook sweet potatoes with lots of various seasonings RE: cooking thread - Kentucky Fried - 04-25-2017 i made muffins today for the first time they turned out far too doughy turns out i converted the units incorrectly i blame the americans and their wacky system of measurement RE: cooking thread - GeorgeBubbinzInSpace - 04-26-2017 I'm so garbage at baking. I can make some dank ass brownies though. I made some tacos yesterday. I rubbed a pork butt (heh heh) with some ancho chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper, little oregano, some smoked paprika, and a little onion powder and braised it for like, I don't know 5 hours or something. then I made some simple guacamole with minced onion, lime juice, salt and pepper and a pinch of curry powder, and some easy pico which was just tomato, little onion and some cilantro. oh and some homemade creme fraiche on top. RE: cooking thread - Kentucky Fried - 04-26-2017 i've always wanted to try some mexican food but it's kinda hard to find a good mexican in my country then i realized they put coriander in almost everything i envy the people who can enjoy coriander because it tastes like soap to me RE: cooking thread - Kentucky Fried - 04-26-2017 i fucking love guacamole though i had some guacamole with white beans once which was the best guacamole i ever had i have yet to successfully recreate it RE: cooking thread - GeorgeBubbinzInSpace - 04-26-2017 my favorite way to make it just make it simple as hell. lime juice, s&p, minced onion and a pinch of curry powder like I said. I don't really like a bunch of tomatoes and peppers and all that. OH I forgot to add I have this ghost pepper sauce that I put a couple drops in. it can totally ruin your fucking food if you put more than like two or three drops, but god damn I love it. parsley is a good sub for cilantro by the way, as long as you don't chop it too much and bruise it. but I'm sure you know that. RE: cooking thread - Kentucky Fried - 04-26-2017 i think guacamole can be a bit boring if you don't add anything else for flavor like peppers or i don't know curry powder sounds interesting though i might try that one day honestly i use fresh herbs far too rarely shit's expensive and the climate far from ideal so planting it in the garden is kinda difficult maybe i'll try to grow some in the summer RE: cooking thread - risbolla - 04-26-2017 i only like jeb bushs secret guac recipe |
