STEAM SUMMER SALE SPECIAL PICKS (gauntlet-style):

Enter the Gungeon (20%). Topdown rogue-like shooter with very solid and fun mechanics.
Firewatch (33%). Interactive story about a man who runs away from the city, and from his problems.
All Tomb Raider Games (several %'s). I recommend Tomb Raider 2 and 3, and also Tomb Raider (2013).
GTA V (40%). Best in the series so far.
Stardew Valley (20%). Harvest Moon / Animal Crossing-like farming game.
Garry's Mod (75%). A game engine with tons of games to experiment via Steam Workshop.
Tabletop Simulator (50%). Come play with me and Ben.
Terraria (50%). The game won't stop updating. Holy shit.

tbh i really liked ass creed 1, but 2 is definitely great.

also payday 2 can be fun but the developer for the last year and a half has had the biggest boner for making stealth almost impossible; most missions with stealth possibilities are insanely hard and time-consuming to do stealth and any time anyone comes up with a reliable method (even if it's not a cheesy method) they patch it out.

but matterialize and i play it sometimes it's p. fun pick it up nerds

you should check this reddit thread for the real lowdown, it highlights a lot of the deals that don't get much exposure on the front page and also there's a handful of bundles that for some reason are not advertised very well on the steam client: if you already own a game from the bundle it adjusts the price down and some of the bundles are cool


i got the jrpg bundle, tropico 5, interstelleria, and i didn't buy it but i decided to .... try........... huniecam studio because i wasn't sure if it was worth 4.50 and tbh it was fun but definitely not super worth, i played it twice and i got the best trophy you can get for getting 100k fans (this is nsfw) on my second try. it was short and i have no desire to go back now but goddamn it was difficult, you have to be super efficient to get that trophy

i bought age of mythology bc it was fun when i first played it in like 2009

1) i spent an hour or two actually making it work
2) it is really fun however theres now like, a bunch of ticking clock elements? thats lame. i dont care about your titan or the wonder or w/e whats up with that

the microtransactions were really the only issue that most people would have imo and yeah they actually bought themselves out from under EA or whoever was running them before so they are undoing all the shit they didn't want in the first place like microtransactions

my complaint with payday 2 is that they keep making it harder and harder to do stealth stuff without a full group of highly practiced players, and that's my favorite part of payday 2, but it's still mad fun. lot of DLC but eyyy it's a video game.
