doesnt matter if he was not a religious person, it's not the religions fault (could you not interpret that from how I wrote my bit?)
but he claimed the attack in the name of ISIS, a group of people who are anti-Western and anti-homosexual. i dont know why youre assuming they're lying and he didn't make the call. He was most definitely an unstable person and psychotic (the kinds that cults find favor in, ya?), also apparently very homophobic. but it is CLAIMED that he did it for ISIS.

should we ignore that? outside of this guy, do you think ISIS could be influencing people?

is talking about the power culture in the middle east and the ruling powers, in some cases they are militant groups.
they use Islam as a weapon for their own gain, not that Islam uses these people. ya see?

He also claimed he was affiliated with alquaida and hezzbollah. Those three groups really don't like eachother, he wasn't affiliated with any of them, he was just a mental case. 

It's also being reported that he was a regular at the bar and was on gay dating apps. It sounds less like religious extremist terrorism than it does some nutjob snapped and shot up a place for who knows what reason.
