so initial thoughts are that the controller when it's in "console" mode is awful looking. it looks really small and uncomfortable for bigger hands, and it's a solid square for some strange reason

also for some reason the footage they overlaid on the screen for "handheld" mode is super choppy and running at like 15 fps which is super weird???

i'm glad there's a pro controller available because that little box just looks weird, however, I think it's really cool that the d-pad is just a diamond face button configuration; the two side controllers pulling off to make two (very tiny, but still two) individual controllers for 2-player stuff is awesome to me. both people get an identical controller (one analog, one diamond face button configuration). obviously switching from console mode to handheld mode is not gonna be nearly that fast in real life but hey i think overall it looks pretty cool.
