i will raise my hand as not one who said NV was vastly superior. in fact i dont care for NV much at all and really like a lot of 3

that being said, ive said this many times including in the old thread, i think because the games are so similar visually and in mechanics that you just end up really liking whichever one you play the most of. i dont know anyone who played a lot of _____ and then played some of the other and like the second one immediately. i only know people who played 3 first and loved it compared to NV (me) or people like niki who played mostly NV and doesnt like 3

what. i didn't play mostly nv. i played 3 before nv ever came out and i played the fuck out of it. what would make you think i played more of nv lmfao
nv is just an actually better game, the changes to the mechanics are better, the scenery is better, the writing is better, the characters are better, the story is better. it has nothing to do with what you played more

i pirated them both before i ever bought either and probably put twice the hours into 3 than nv, but 3 is fucking shit in comparison and like i said pretty much unplayable

is there a quest that exemplifies this best to you? is there a best character in 3 vs best in NV?

I got a bunch of point and click games from one of those gog bundles and am now running through the Blackwell games

I am on episode 3 and the story has been bittersweet so far. the music is fantastic, but i love dark jazz. puzzles are simplistic and the voice acting, though good, often shows how low budget thee games are (often the sound has cracks and is poorly recorded).

I'll report back with proper feedback once they're finished

that's what the first post is but i guess ill repeat myself for your convenience. the writing is better. the setting is better. the mechanical changes are better (certain skills, skill checks, etc). the characters, including the player character, are better. the factions are better. the plot is better. the choices (and i use the word choices loosely for the bullshit 3 gave us) are better. the dlcs are better. it actually sticks to the canon of the fallout universe. it sticks to the aesthetic of the fallout universe better. im not going into full detail on all these things. those aspects of the game are just better aspects. the game is done more good. everything about it is just better. i don't know what the fuck you want.

EVERY quest is better. EVERY character is better.
