i might think i have, but
no i haven't
figured out the workings of my habits;
some things I'll never get to learn

harvest every inch, but
still no luck yet;
clearly my approach needs some adjustment
 - I'm still not looking where it hurts.

pull it all apart to find a cause, oh,
not for benefit;
just for applause, to
show that you're really doing fine

follow every string despite how threadbare
even when they lead back through that nightmare;
either way you're going to go there all of the time.

AND I KNOW EVERYTHING I'M SAYING RIGHT NOW SOUNDS "Oh, so patently ridiculous!"
I KNOW THAT I AM ALWAYS COMPLICIT
IN IT

look who's talking now; i'm still not better
I still act like I control the weather:
HERE COMES MY THUNDERSTORM

how am i already self-destructed?
simply give the prompt: i'm well instructed
I'VE GOT SUCH PERFECT FORM

AND I KNOW EVERY SINGLE SYLLABLE I'M SPEWING RIGHT NOW SOUNDS JUST PATENTLY RIDICULOUS
I KNOW THAT WE ARE ALWAYS IMPLICIT
IN IT

you can only work with what you're handed;
i was never taught just being candid
 - when did that start to be my fault?

i'm familiar with that blank stare
your atmosphere is stale air, and
YOU'VE GOT YOUR GUILT LOCKED IN A VAULT

AND I KNOW EVERY SINGLE THING THAT I AM SCREAMING RIGHT NOW SEEMS JUST PATENTLY RIDICULOUS
I KNOW I'VE ALWAYS BEEN SO COMPLICIT
WITH IT

AND I KNOW EVERY SINGLE WORD THAT I AM SPELLING RIGHT NOW READS JUST BRILLIANT AND HAZARDOUS
YOU ALL HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TACITLY IMPLICIT TO IT
