Twin Peaks S3 hype thread

So the new season of Twin Peaks airs in ten days, and in the words of a famous Portuguese saint:

Are you gonna watch it and what are your expectations? I have a lingering fear that it'll be shit because of Lynch's dobiously cultish last few years and that it'll just sell out the black lodge concept completely. Here's to hoping I'm wrong.

i watched twin peaks up until they revealed laura palmer's murderer then i realised i wasnt really invested at all and stopped but ill probably watch this i guess

btw how is everyone liking the new season so far

as someone who was never seriously invested in the original twin peaks but still watched most of it i like it a lot more than the original run even though i dont know what's going on 80% of the time (and not in like a "ha ha wtf is happenin" kinda way but a "i should know who these people are but i forgot" kinda way)

also i really really love dougie and find him adorable i was surprised to find out so many people dont like him or find him boring to watch, but that's just probably because they want coop back (who i never really cared for anyway)

i was definitely not tired of dougie while everyone else was, but at this point its starting to wear on me. previously, even as coop stayed in that trance, they found new ways to exploit the dougie gimmick. right now i feel like we are just getting the same jokey whatnots (he cant get out of the car, he repeats what others say at convenient times, etc). i do miss coop, but thats not really the reason why i want him back at this point

i think this last episode was really great. probably one of the top three or four so far. a lot happened, but there was still some good Weird Kooky Shit
